Artist Sketchbook
I am a slab-technique potter, and my process is meticulous and deeply considered. It begins with my artist sketchbook, which guides the development of each piece, focusing on shape, color, and its historical and cultural attributes. My artist sketchbook serves as a continuous source of inspiration for every collection, ensuring each creation is deeply personal and thoughtfully crafted.

My Unique Slab Technique
I specialize in the unique slab technique. This means every single pottery piece begins with hand-rolled clay, meticulously textured and formed on a mold. Each creation undergoes at least two firings and multiple glazes, culminating in a finished piece after an average of 30 days. After the initial drying period, I apply engobe slip and allow it to dry for another 3 days. The piece then undergoes its first low firing in the kiln. Following this, I apply engobe and multiple glazes to the piece before it undergoes a high-firing in the kiln. Finally, each piece is thoroughly inspected for quality control, ensuring it meets my high standards.
"There's nothing like getting your hands into clay and creating a piece. Such joy!"
